Like many entrepreneurs, Moziah Bridges simply wanted to solve one of his own problems. Even at a young age, the Memphis, Tenn., native loved fashion — he dressed himself in suits and ties as early as age 4. "I like to wear bow ties because they make me look good and feel good," he explained on his site.

On August 15, 1999, Liz Soden was behind the wheel of her family's truck, her husband Brad in the passenger seat and their three sons in the backseat. Suddenly, one of the tires blew out, and the truck was thrown into an embankment. The boys came out of the accident relatively un-scathed, and Brad broke his leg. Liz, however, wasn't nearly as lucky. She broke her back and was paralyzed from the waist down.
